Our Story

Perhaps best known as the beloved “Sam’s Joint,” Alaska Haus was originally constructed as a church around 1880. The building has undergone a complete renovation in 2021. We would describe our style as “historical with a modern touch.” The massive beams and stained glass are all original. Everything else from the modern lighting to the beautiful craftsmanship including our two bars have been renovated for modern convenience.  We’ve added a covered patio to enjoy the outdoors and the two levels          (balcony style) of our main room make it one of a kind.
